How to force user to not click until javascript has loaded (lightbox) -

I have a large JS lightbox gallery and in a hurry, users can click thumb before loading on the page, The result of opening the actual image without this "cool" JS popup effect.

Do users have good ways to "force" the user to finish loading before clicking?
